Our History

"Royal" was never meant to be a shop. It was meant to be a standard.

Royal Group of Salons comes from a family hairdressing line running since the inception of the 20th century. What began as a two-seat barber shop grew, generation by generation, into a name trusted across Lahore and beyond — carried forward today by the sons and grandsons of its founder.

1905

The foundation

Haji Allah Buksh lays the foundation of the family business with a modest two-seat shop — the root of everything that follows.

1953

The next generation

His elder son, Seth Imtiaz Ahmed, joins the business, beginning decades of hands-on stewardship.

1965

A new outlook

Seth Imtiaz Ahmed renovates the shop entirely, adds air conditioning and more seats — setting it apart as one of its kind at the time.

1985

Rewaz Garden & a new standard

Seth Imtiaz's elder son, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmed, joins him and shifts the business to Rewaz Garden with more seats, introducing styling concepts built around personality and current trends. His brothers — Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed, Mr. Khurshid Ahmed and Mr. Fayyaz Ahmed — join him in the years that follow.

1996

Royal goes abroad

After training in France in the early '90s, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmed opens a Dubai branch under the name "Golden Scissors Salon" — Royal having already been taken there — and now runs three branches across Dubai.

2007

Johar Town opens

A new branch is established in Johar Town, Lahore, looked after by Mr. Fayyaz Ahmed, the youngest son of Seth Imtiaz Ahmed — bringing Royal's standard to a new generation of Lahore.
